Job Title: Field Service Engineer<br />Location: Field Based - East Midlands<br />Salary: £45,000 per annum + Door to Door Pay + Overtime and Enhancements – OTE of c£65,000 per annum + Company Car<br />Hours:

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm + Optional Overtime - no weekend work or night shifts.<br />Bolt Technical are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading global FMCG business, for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join its growing field service engineering team of 30 in the UK.<br />You’ll play a key role in delivering technical excellence and ensuring that equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction are consistently upheld.<br />Enjoy a Monday–Friday working pattern with regionally focused assignments, meaning minimal nights away from home.<br />Key Responsibilities:<br />· Install, commission, repair, and maintain food processing and packaging machinery.<br />· Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably at all times.<br />· Provide on-site support and technical expertise to customers.<br />· Maintain accurate records of service, maintenance, and repairs.<br />· Work autonomously across a regional customer base while collaborating with the wider technical team.<br />What They’re Looking For:<br />· Qualified multi-skilled engineer with experience in the FMCG or food production sectors<br />· Electro-mechanical background (apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred<br />· Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motor control systems<br />· Experience with PLCs and Ladder Logic is advantageous<br />· Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills<br />· Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation<br />· Full, valid UK driving licence required<br />· Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, 'can-do' attitude<br />What They Offer:<br />· Competitive basic salary of £45,000 per annum – OTE of circa £65,000<br />· Company Vehicle including personal use<br />· Optional overtime available (£50/hour on weekends, 1.5x standard rate before 8:30am and after 5:30pm).<br />· Monday–Friday schedule – no weekend work or night shifts.<br />· 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.<br />· Discretionary annual bonus.<br />· Quality company vehicle, fully equipped and available for personal use.<br />·Company-paid private medical insurance.<br />By applying to this job advertisement, you confirm you have read and understood our Data Privacy Statement and give Bolt Technical authorisation to hold your provided data.<br />Thank you for your interest in this vacancy, which is being advertised by Bolt Technical, acting as an employment agency/business.
