Job Description

Role Summary
This position involves supporting field network infrastructure and end-user technology within a midstream energy company. The role requires hands-on deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment and user devices at various field locations. It is suitable for individuals with strong communication skills and technical expertise in network and hardware support, functioning as a key resource for field technology needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless radios at designated field sites.
  • Support and troubleshoot end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral hardware.
  • Install and configure hardware components such as cables, network jacks, and other networking infrastructure.
  • Perform software troubleshooting and upgrades on Windows 11 systems, including application installs and updates.
  • Provide technical support for LAN/WAN network communications, ensuring connectivity and optimal performance.
  • Organize and lead project tasks related to hardware deployment and network upgrades.
  • Support installation and calibration of UPS systems and other related equipment at field locations.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify technical solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, equipment configurations, and network diagrams.
  • Occasionally work after hours or weekends as necessary to support project deadlines or system maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in network equipment racking, stacking, and cable installation (Cat5, Cat6, Fiber).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for end-user support.
  • Desktop support experience, including hardware troubleshooting and software installations.
  • Proficiency with Windows 11 operating systems and application management.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and network communications protocols.
  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, or similar networking equipment preferred.
  • Experience with Ubiquiti radios, VSAT, and UPS systems is a plus.
  • Ability to organize and lead technical projects and coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Must be available to work on-site at multiple locations and reside within 45 minutes of the primary worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Publishing Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
