Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Lüdenscheid, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading European energy infrastructure service provider, a company deeply committed to driving the energy transition and achieving climate goals. This organisation is at the forefront of modernizing and expanding energy grids, playing a crucial role in building a sustainable future through innovative projects. The Role • Implement new build and modernization projects for medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations up to 380kV in Western Germany. • Commission and test electrical equipment to ensure the smooth flow of green energy. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams to improve processes. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field devices from leading brands like Siemens, Schneider, and ABB. • Utilize state-of-the-art testing equipment from renowned manufacturers such as OMICRON for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Contribute to renewable energy projects, including grid connections for wind and solar farms, to shape a greener future. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven expertise and technical knowledge in protection or control technology. • Experience in commissioning switchgear, adhering to common communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1 parameterization software, and OMICRON TestUniverse software is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent decision-making, communication skills (fluent German required), and a professional demeanor. • Possess a valid Class B driver's license and be willing to travel (typically Monday-Thursday) for project support.
