SEN / SEND Tutor | Cheddar, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We're hiring for an impact-driven community organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role

• Provide in-person, online, or hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Plan and deliver trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring sessions for pupils from KS1 to KS5.
• Support referred students from local authorities and schools with a range of learning difficulties, including MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
• Report on lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Work flexibly to suit your schedule, with opportunities to engage on a self-employed basis.
• Contribute to a mission focused on raising the standard of education for young people with diverse needs.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
• An enhanced DBS check (assistance can be provided if needed).
• The right to work in the UK.
