Job Description
THE ROLE:
This is first and foremost a mechanical and technical position. While customer relationships and territory development are important, success in this role starts with your ability to understand how complex equipment works—and how to keep it performing at the highest level. Your technical expertise is what earns customers' trust, and that trust naturally leads to opportunities to grow the business. As a
Rescue Solutions Specialist
, you'll become the technical expert for Hurst-Jaws of Life rescue tools and fire equipment throughout your territory.
You'll work directly with fire departments performing inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete rebuilds of hydraulic and battery-powered rescue equipment. You'll be expected to confidently disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble complex mechanical systems while ensuring every tool meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and takes pride in restoring equipment to peak performance.
If you're the type of person who wants to know how something works, isn't afraid to take it apart, and has the skill to put it back together better than before
, you'll thrive in this role. You'll build relationships in the firehouse, on the training ground, and in the field—but those relationships are built on your credibility as a skilled mechanical professional.
