Meat Department Manager

You will oversee product quality, ordering, inventory, and merchandising for all meat items while ensuring strict food safety and sanitation standards. This role manages and schedules team members, provides training and coaching, and drives sales through engaging displays and excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the meat department, ensuring product quality, freshness, and proper rotation
• Manage ordering, receiving, pricing, and merchandising of all meat products to meet sales and margin goals
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards
• Lead, schedule, train, and coach team members to deliver excellent customer service
• Monitor inventory levels, minimize shrink, and ensure accurate labeling and signage
• Collaborate with store leadership on promotions, displays, and sales initiatives
• Engage customers by offering product knowledge, cooking tips, and recommendations
• Ensure equipment is properly used, cleaned, and maintained for safe operation
