Job description

Role: Project Manager

Location: New Jersey (Remote)

Job Type: Contract

Job Requirements:

  • Process Mapping & Workflow Optimization Map and document end-to-end operational workflows, establishing clear current-statevs.
  • Future-state process models ( swimlane diagrams, RACI matrices, and capability blueprints).
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, redundancies, and handoff friction points across marketing and technical teams; engineer streamlined, scalable operating procedures.
  • Standardize intake, review, and delivery workflows across diverse marketing stakeholder groups.

Requirements Definition & Scoping:

  • Partner closely with Business Capability Owners (BCOs) and marketing stakeholders to capture business needs, define scope boundaries, and author detailed functional requirements.
  • Translate strategic objectives into structured user stories, business acceptance criteria, and work breakdown structures (WBS) that engineering and technical teams can execute against.
  • Facilitate requirements walkthroughs and secure formal business sign-offs during project discovery phases.

Road mapping & Project Planning

  • Build, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans, workback schedules, and multi-quarter strategic roadmaps using enterprise PMO tooling (Workfront, Jira,Smartsheet).
  • Blockers, conduct quantitative/qualitative risk analyses, and develop mitigation strategies before issues impact the critical path.
  • Enforce formal phase-gate governance (Plan ? Design ? Build ? Validate ? Deploy) to ensure rigorous business acceptance (UAT) and operational readiness before launch.
  • PMI Lifecycle Execution & Executive Reporting Apply standardized PMI methodologies across all project phases: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and formal closing.
  • Design and deliver crisp, data-driven executive status dashboards, health readouts, and weekly/monthly progress summaries for senior leadership (SMLT).
  • Establish post-launch adoption metrics, track business value realization, and conduct; Tooling: Deep proficiency in traditional waterfall (PMI/PMP) and Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks; hands-on expertise with Adobe Workfront, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
  • Governance Discipline: Demonstrated track record of active RAID log management,
