Project Manager, Capital Projects and Packaging Operations

Duration: Contract, project-based 12 months to start with and extendable

Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)

Job Description:

We are currently hiring for an experienced Project Manager – Capital Projects & Packaging Operations

Lead capital projects, including packaging operations, from design through construction, commissioning, qualification and handover to Operations.

·         Set up the project charter, execution plan, organization and governance.

·         Manage scope, cost, schedule, risk and change against the approved baseline.

·         Report to leadership and steering committees with forecasts and variance explanations.

·         Lead design development, design reviews and constructability reviews.

·         Coordinate engineers, contractors and equipment vendors with the construction team.

·         Define packaging requirements including layout, throughput/OEE, labeling, vision and serialization.

·         Manage packaging OEMs through specification, FAT, installation and SAT.

·         Plan line installation and shutdowns to minimize disruption to live packaging operations.

·         Integrate CQV into the project plan and drive operational readiness and handover.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.

·         10+ years of capital project management in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.

·         Proven track record leading projects through design, construction and qualification.

·         Direct experience delivering packaging lines, line modifications or serialization projects.

·         Strong cost, schedule and stakeholder management skills.

·         Experience on complex capital projects with a total installed cost (TIC) above $30M.
