About the Role
M&S Consulting is hiring a Java Developer to join our team in Morgantown, WV. You'll build and maintain back-end Java services and integrations alongside senior engineers, product owners, and QA in an Agile team. This role is a strong fit for an early-career developer who has built a few solid Java projects and wants to grow on meaningful, production systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop, test, and maintain Java back-end services and RESTful APIs using Spring and Spring Boot
• Build and support integrations with internal and external systems
• Write unit and integration tests and take part in code reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Document your work according to team standards Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software or Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Less than 5 years of professional software development experience
• A few Java projects you've built (professional, academic, or personal) that you can walk us through
• Working knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL
• Experience with Git
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Ability to work on-site in Morgantown, WV Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to Apache Camel or other integration frameworks
• Experience with message brokers such as ActiveMQ or Kafka
• SQL Server experience
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or Azure DevOps
