AI/ML Software Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI/ML Software Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity.
This role supports the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking team, focusing on implementing Generative AI solutions to automate operational processes for corporate customer requests. The successful candidate will work in a highly containerized, cloud-driven environment to build and deploy LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and workflow automation platforms, replacing manual steps with agent-driven automation. This position requires 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering
• Implement Generative AI solutions to automate operational processes and customer requests
• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
• Develop and integrate Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions involving OCR, data extraction, and validation
• Work with a containerized, cloud-driven technology stack including Python, LangGraph, MongoDB, and Kafka
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to meet project deliverables and understand business requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education
• 3+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, or Intelligent Automation solutions
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python and AI development frameworks, including LangChain, LangGraph, and agent-based architectures
• 3+ years of experience implementing Document AI / Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions involving OCR, PDF parsing, data extraction, confidence scoring, and API integration
• Strong hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, AI agents, and RAG solutions
• Practical experience using Python and LangGraph for document extraction and processing

Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
