Position Title: Network Administrator III

Position Description: Join a dynamic federal IT environment as a Network Administrator III, leading the management and modernization of enterprise network services supporting over 12,000 end users across more than 200 sites. This critical role requires hands-on leadership in maintaining and enhancing LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, wireless solutions, remote access, and cloud interconnects (AWS/Azure).
You will serve as the primary technical and managerial lead, ensuring the security, compliance, and operational excellence of federal network infrastructure while collaborating with federal leadership, contractors, and vendors. Your expertise will drive incident response, service continuity, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with federal standards such as FISMA, TIC 3.0, Zero Trust, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP. This is an on-site contract opportunity in Washington, DC, perfect for experienced networking professionals ready to impact critical government missions.
Top Requirements: 10+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise IT/network operations, with 5+ years in federal environment leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field
Active U.S.
Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance
Hands-on experience with hybrid network architectures, including SD-WAN, VPN, firewall management, and cloud interconnects (AWS/Azure)
Proficiency with enterprise monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds
Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and manage cross-functional teams and vendors across multiple sites
Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical updates to senior federal leadership
Certifications: PMP (PMI), ITIL v4, CCIE or CCNP, with at least 8 years of enterprise networking experience
Experience supporting incident management, root cause analysis, and implementing operational standards
Knowledge of federal security standards including FISMA, TIC 3.0, Zero Trust, and FedRAMP
Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC environment
