Systems Architect (Google Cloud Platform)

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Systems Architect in Albany, NY.

Description

This position will assist in support of the department's operational functions which include design, implementation, management of solutions, and support of the new Unemployment Insurance System. The consultant will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, architect robust solutions, and provide guidance and support.

Daily tasks include, but are not limited to

Solution Design and Architecture

? Designing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform that meet business requirements.
? Selecting appropriate Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, etc.) for specific use cases.
? Creating high-level and detailed technical designs, including network topology, data flow, security controls, and disaster recovery strategies.
? Ensuring architectural best practices are followed, such as cost optimization, performance tuning, and adherence to industry standards.

Technical Guidance

? Providing guidance to development and operations teams.
? Mentoring junior engineers and sharing expertise on Google Cloud Platform services and cloud architecture.
? Collaborating with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and other technical teams, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Implementation and Deployment

? Overseeing the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
? Developing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
? Configuring and managing Google Cloud Platform services, including virtual machines, containers, databases, and networking components.
? Implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and management.

Security and Compliance

? Designing and implementing robust security measures on Google Cloud Platform, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, data encryption, and threat detection.
? Ensuring solutions comply with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., Pub 1075, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
? Working with authorized security teams on conducting security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

Performance Optimization and Cost Management

? Monitoring the performance of cloud applications and infrastructure.
? Identifying and implementing performance optimizations.
? Developing strategies for cost management and optimization on Google Cloud Platform, including resource rightsizing, reserved instances, and cost allocation.

Troubleshooting and Support

? Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to Google Cloud Platform services and cloud applications.
? Providing ongoing support and maintenance for deployed solutions.
? Participating in on-call rotations for critical incidents.

Documentation

? Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for architectures, designs, and implementations.

Mandatory Qualifications

? Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
? Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

? 72 months of experience in Design and architect solutions tailored to client-specific requirements, designing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform. This includes selecting appropriate Google Cloud Platform services for specific use cases. Creating high-level and detailed technical designs, including network topology, data flow, security controls, and disaster recovery strategies.

Ensuring architectural best practices are followed, such as cost optimization, performance tuning, and adherence to industry standards.
? 84 months of experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services including overseeing the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. Development and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. Configuring and managing Google Cloud Platform services, including virtual machines, containers, databases, and networking components.

Implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and management.
? 84 months of experience Designing and implementing robust security measures on Google Cloud Platform, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, data encryption, and threat detection. Ensuring solutions comply with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., Pub 1075, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).

? 84 months of experience Monitoring the performance of cloud applications and infrastructure. Identifying and implementing performance optimizations. ? 60 months of experience Providing technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams.

Mentoring junior engineers and sharing expertise on Google Cloud Platform services and cloud architecture. Collaborating with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and other technical teams, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
? 84 months of experience Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to Google Cloud Platform services and cloud applications. Providing ongoing support and maintenance for deployed solutions.

Participating in on-call rotations for critical incidents.
? 60 months of experience Creating and maintaining technical documentation for architectures, designs, and implementations.
