Role : Senior SQL Integrations Developer

Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)

Duration: Long-term Contract

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Developer with deep SQL expertise to join their Integration Team. This role designs, builds, and optimizes data transformations that power enterprise integrations and business applications — translating complex business rules into performant SQL logic across ERP, order management, warehouse, and e-commerce systems, and automating processes with Python.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop complex SQL transformations supporting enterprise integrations between core systems (ERP, order management, warehouse management, product data, and e-commerce platforms)
Implement business logic in SQL — stored procedures, views, functions, and transformation layers
Develop and maintain Python scripts for data movement, validation, automation, file processing, and API-based integrations
Perform query and database performance tuning: analyze execution plans, optimize indexing, refactor inefficient queries
Support ETL/ELT pipelines across on-prem (DB2/iSeries, SQL Server) and cloud (Azure) environments
Partner with integration developers to define data mappings, transformation rules, and reconciliation logic
Conduct data profiling, root-cause analysis, and data quality remediation for production issues
Document data models, transformation logic, and technical designs
Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and cross-functional IT teams in onsite/offshore model

Required Skills

7+ years of hands-on SQL development: complex joins, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, set-based transformation logic
2+ years of Python scripting (pandas, pyodbc/SQLAlchemy, REST API consumption)
Expertise in performance tuning: execution plans, index design, statistics management, query refactoring on large datasets
Experience with at least one enterprise RDBMS at scale (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills across multiple systems
