Platform Developer – Salesforce / DevOps<br />Salary: £70,000 - £90,000<br />Location: Fully Remote Overview<br />An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Salesforce Platform Developer to join an exciting SaaS organisation.

The role will be approximately 80% focused on hands-on Salesforce development, with the remaining 20% providing additional capability across DevOps, deployments and platform environments.<br />You will develop, test and maintain a Salesforce-based platform, delivering reliable platform changes while supporting CI/CD, environment management, deployments and releases within an Agile environment.<br />This would suit a hands-on Salesforce Developer with strong Apex, Lightning Web Components and OmniStudio experience who also has experience supporting Salesforce DevOps and release processes.

Role and Responsibilities Spend approximately 80% of your time developing, configuring and maintaining Salesforce functionality across a business-critical platform<br />Build solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, JavaScript and OmniStudio<br />Translate business and platform requirements into practical technical solutions, user stories and acceptance criteria<br />Support integrations between Salesforce and wider enterprise applications and services<br />Contribute to technical design, testing, release readiness and deployment activities<br />Spend approximately 20% of your time supporting Salesforce DevOps, environment management and deployment processes<br />Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, release automation and deployment processes<br />Assist with Salesforce environment management, source control and configuration management<br />Investigate and resolve issues across development, integrations, environments and deployments<br />Support reliable and controlled releases across multiple Salesforce environments<br />Work collaboratively within an Agile team, contributing to sprint planning, reviews and continuous improvement<br />Skills and Experience Strong commercial Salesforce development experience<br />Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows and SOQL<br />Experience with Salesforce OmniStudio, including OmniScripts<br />Good knowledge of Salesforce data, security, automation and integration principles<br />Experience developing and supporting Salesforce solutions across multiple environments<br />Experience supporting Salesforce DevOps, deployment and release processes<br />Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control and automated deployments<br />Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Salesforce CLI and Metadata API<br />Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across development and deployment environments<br />Experience working within Agile development teams<br />Experience within a regulated, healthcare, life sciences or clinical trials environment would be advantageous<br />Desirable Experience with Salesforce Agentforce or other Salesforce AI capabilities<br />Familiarity with Heroku-hosted applications and Salesforce integration services<br />Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code<br />Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling and deployment automation<br />Relevant Salesforce certifications including Platform Developer, OmniStudio Developer, Administrator or Platform App Builder
