We are seeking a Senior Palantir Foundry Developer (Lead) to join our team and support our client.
The ideal candidate is a senior Foundry practitioner and founding technical leader capable of standing up the practice''s build capability, mentoring junior staff, and owning delivery on day one. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Washington, DC/Herndon, VA, requiring onsite work two to three days per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as technical lead for Foundry application and ontology development across client engagements.
- Design and build complex ontology models, Actions, Functions, and Workshop applications from the ground up.
- Own solution architecture decisions in coordination with client stakeholders and Unissant leadership.
- Mentor and upskill junior developers as the practice scales.
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact in client meetings and proposal support activities.
- Establish reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices for the practice.
Work Experience and Job Skills:
- Five (5) or more years of software or data engineering experience, including three (3) or more years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience in a lead or senior capacity.
- Demonstrated experience owning Foundry solutions end-to-end, ideally in a federal or highly regulated environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and TypeScript.
- Experience translating ambiguous client requirements into scalable technical architecture.
- Prior experience supporting DHS, CBP, or other federal law enforcement/homeland security clients preferred.
- Experience standing up or scaling a Palantir practice within a consulting or systems integrator environment preferred.
- Familiarity with AIP preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor''s Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field of study.
- MBA/Master''s Degree in a relevant field of study preferred.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- Palantir Foundry Developer certification preferred.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization.
- Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner.
Clearance Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance is required.
Travel:
- Minimal travel may be required.
Environmental Requirements:
- Mainly a routine office environment.
- May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
- Flexible in working extended hours
