Federal IT Project Manager

About the Program

Softek is recruiting for a  program supporting the Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (DHS/CISA). The program delivers AI/ML-enabled applications, automation, and cloud data engineering on an AWS and Databricks platform, with an emphasis on secure, vendor-agnostic design. Work is performed remotely from the contractor site with occasional travel to the Washington, DC area.

Duties and Responsibilities

·        Lead day-to-day delivery for the application development team, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness reviews.

·        Track dependencies, risks, and deliverables in Jira and MS Project and keep the Program Manager informed of trends and blockers.

·        Coordinate with Government technical leads and cross-task teams to resolve issues and keep releases on schedule.

·        Prepare meeting minutes, briefings, and status inputs for the monthly program report.

Required Qualifications

·        Five or more years of project management experience on software or cloud delivery programs.

·        Working knowledge of agile and Kanban methods and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

·        Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

·        PMP or Certified Scrum Master.

·        Prior DHS or other federal civilian agency experience.
