Mainframe Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL and CICS.
• Maintain legacy applications with minor new development.
• Analyze, program, test, troubleshoot, and support existing applications.
• Work with business teams to understand business processes and requirements.
• Assist with requirements gathering, design, system architecture, and development.
• Perform front-end, middle-tier, and back-end development as required.
• Work as part of an Agile software development team.
• Troubleshoot production and application issues and provide technical support.
• Work with DB2, SQL, QMF, JCL, and job scheduling.
• Follow NDOT development standards, methodologies, and processes.
• Evaluate technical issues and determine appropriate solutions based on cost and benefits.
