Senior Data Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, develop, and govern enterprise data architecture solutions aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, data engineering, database design, data warehousing, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) technologies.

The role involves translating business capabilities into scalable data architecture solutions, defining data standards and governance frameworks, driving data integration initiatives, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency across enterprise systems. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and project teams to establish architecture roadmaps, evaluate emerging technologies, and leverage AI capabilities to improve data engineering and modeling processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data architecture solutions, including OLTP/RDBMS databases, data warehouses, and data marts.

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models using data modeling tools such as SAP PowerDesigner.

• Define data architecture principles, standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps aligned with enterprise objectives.

• Implement data governance, data quality, data integrity, and information management practices.

• Drive Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and ensure consistency across enterprise data systems.

• Design and optimize data solutions using Google Cloud Platform technologies, including BigQuery, AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Cloud Run, MongoDB, and Dataflow.

• Evaluate data integration opportunities and define appropriate technology patterns and implementation strategies.

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical architecture specifications.

• Develop architecture artifacts covering data, information, processes, applications, services, and technology infrastructure.

• Establish architecture governance processes and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and guidelines.

• Collaborate with business sponsors, product teams, IT leaders, and project managers to align architecture initiatives with business priorities.

• Provide architectural guidance to engineering and project teams throughout solution design, development, and implementation.

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, methodologies, and AI capabilities to improve data engineering and data modeling.

• Support portfolio planning, investment decisions, technology roadmaps, and architecture-related initiatives.

• Facilitate architecture reviews, governance discussions, and stakeholder meetings to build consensus and drive effective decision-making.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, scalability, interoperability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in Information Architecture, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or advanced database design and modeling.

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience developing data models using tools such as PowerDesigner.

• Strong experience designing and implementing OLTP/RDBMS databases, data warehouses, and data marts.

• Knowledge of Master Data Management concepts, methodologies, and tools.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform technologies, including BigQuery, AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Cloud Run, MongoDB, and Dataflow.

• Experience defining and implementing data quality initiatives.

• Knowledge of AI capabilities and their application to data engineering and data modeling.

• Strong understanding of data governance, data integrity, data management, and enterprise information integration.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, resolve ambiguity, and build consensus across business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter or Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE.

• Knowledge of TOGAF, DAMA frameworks, and enterprise architecture standards.

• Ability to define and implement data architecture principles, guidelines, and standards.

• Expertise in data interoperability standards and integration methods.

• Experience working with senior-level management to support strategic and technical decision-making.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop work plans and manage competing priorities.

• Relevant professional certifications in data architecture, cloud technologies, or enterprise architecture.
