Job Description

Job Title: Business Data Analyst
Location: Secaucus NJ - Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Gather business and system requirements from stakeholders and conduct feasibility studies.
Design and propose implementation solution(s).
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code with proper coding conventions.
Work with other developers, business analysts, and product owners on technical solutions to business problems.
Able to work independently as well as in a team setting focused on fast-paced application development.
Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives technologies.

Special Skills:

The successful candidate should have good communication skills, good technical writing skills, and display the following character traits: Passion for learning, creativity, and self-motivated.
Experience working in a fast-paced development environment using Agile development methodologies.
Hands-on experience in developing applications using the following languages for at least 10 years:
Data modeling (Star Schema, Fact and Dimension tables)
DAX measures and calculated columns
Power Query (M Language)
Report and dashboard development
Drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips, and advanced visualizations
Performance tuning and optimization
Experience working with Git or other modern Code Version Control methods.
Experience working with ServiceNow ITSM platform is preferred.
Experience with low-code, no-code development platform is a plus.
Experience SQL queries and Stored procedures.
Databricks experience, a plus.
Experience working with relational database(s), SQL Server [ADF, SSIS, CDC].
Experience developing in a Windows-based environment preferred.
Experience developing in a UNIX- / Linux-based environment and have scripting skills a plus.
Compliance with in-office attendance as business needs dictate is required.
