Director of Accounting

Role Overview:

• Lead and coordinate the servicing and operations team, ensuring client deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in line with service expectations.
• Monitor active client relationships and projects, proactively identifying risks, concerns, or areas requiring leadership attention.
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational, client-facing, and team-related challenges, helping drive timely resolutions.
• Coach, mentor, and support team members through ongoing feedback, performance discussions, and professional development opportunities.
• Oversee new hire onboarding and training initiatives to ensure a smooth transition and successful integration into the team.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate processes, streamline workflows, and implement operational improvements that increase efficiency and scalability.
• Prepare and communicate regular updates on team productivity, client engagement status, resource allocation, and key business trends.
• Maintain and update operational documentation, process guidelines, and escalation tracking to support consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Role Qualifications

• Strong accounting fundamentals, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and P&L management.
• Proven leadership experience preferred; strong leadership potential also considered.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong technology aptitude and comfort learning new systems and tools.
• Client-facing experience and relationship management skills preferred.
