This individual will work directly alongside the Manager Enterprise Applications & POS and will play a key role in the design, development, customization, and integration of Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service (POS) that supports our retail operations.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore (v18 or higher), Xcenter/Xadmin/Xoffice Cloud, and related Oracle Retail applications, along with strong Java development and integration skills. This role requires hands-on technical depth in Oracle Xstore POS and a strong understanding of retail transaction processing, store operations, and integrations with ERP, payment, gift-card, and loyalty systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical design, development and customization of the Xstore POS application, including UI enhancements, business logic, transaction workflow, and tender processes.
  • Configure, enhance, and maintain Xstore and Xadmin/Xoffice applications, including business logic, transaction workflows, UI components, and tender processes.
  • Design, develop, and customize Oracle Xstore POS solutions (Java-based) to meet business and operational requirements.
  • Participate and/or lead key technical sessions with the Oracle ERP team to resolve data mapping issues, define integration mappings, and design integrations between Xstore and Oracle ERP as well as other non-Oracle applications.
  • Support data conversion, data loading, and data validation activities to maintain data integrity throughout system operations.
  • Support Xstore integration with Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), as well as third-party vendors such as Salesforce, payment processors, gift card platforms and loyalty providers.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including issue triage, debugging, and defect resolution; as well as build, unit and end-to-end testing (SIT), user acceptance (CRP/UAT), deployment, hypercare, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Support the pilot rollout and post-go-live hypercare activities, resolve production issues, and lead root-cause analysis and preventive actions to ensure high availability of store systems across all regions go-lives.
  • Partner with functional leads and business users (Finance, Store Ops, Supply Chain) to analyze gaps and deliver practical solutions aligned with Oracle Retail best practices.
  • Work with DI's infrastructure and third party SI (system integrator) teams to establish code versioning, build automation standards, data loads, and system releases.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including Technical Design Docs (TDD), Integration Mapping, and Deployment Guides.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies (data security, change management, performance monitoring).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 8 + years development experience, including 5 + years with Oracle Xstore POS development and configuration (v18 or higher).
  • Proven experience with:
    • Oracle Xstore POS (preferably v18 or higher), Xcenter, and Xoffice Cloud
    • Java, Spring Framework, XML, PL/SQL and Oracle Database technologies.
    • Experience integrating POS systems with enterprise applications: ERP (e.g., Oracle Fusion), middleware (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud or equivalent middleware platforms)
    • Payment integration (Shift4, Adyen, Fiserv, etc.), CRM and gift card/loyalty integrations
  • Experience with integration of Xstore and enterprise systems such as Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and third-party vendors such as Salesforce, payment processors, gift card platforms and loyalty providers.
  • Experience supporting large multi-store retail roll-outs (100+ stores preferred).
  • Strong understanding of retail operations: retail POS workflows (sales, returns, exchanges), inventory/tender management, store operations, promotions/discounts.
  • Experience with version control (Gihubt, SVN), build tools (Maven/Gradle), CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multi-vendor team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience integrating Oracle Xstore with Oracle Fusion ERP (Finance, SCM, AR/AP).
  • Familiarity with gift-card and loyalty vendor APIs and data mapping.
  • Experience with Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS) and Xstore/Xoffice reporting.
  • Exposure to mobile POS, tablet POS, and Xoffice cloud POS architecture.
  • Knowledge of fiscalization and tax compliance across multiple countries (e.g. Mexico)
  • Oracle Retail or Java certifications are a plus.

Why Join Diamonds International
