Pay Range: $88/hr - $90/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and distributed systems for Ads Safety and enforcement.
• Build scalable services, pipelines, and infrastructure for processing large data volumes.
• Develop systems to enhance understanding of advertisers and identify potential safety risks.
• Improve systems supporting automated and policy-driven enforcement measures.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design for scalable, reliable services.
• Solve complex software engineering challenges related to performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Ads Safety engineers and cross-functional partners to enhance safety-focused infrastructure.
• Apply strong software engineering fundamentals to create clean, maintainable, and reliable production systems.
• Leverage machine learning and AI concepts to improve safety and enforcement systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services and distributed pipelines.
• Contribute to technical projects, engineering best practices, and potentially open-source initiatives.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Several years of hands-on software engineering/development experience.
• Strong programming experience in at least one language, with professional experience in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience developing backend systems, services, or infrastructure.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, scalable systems, or large-scale computing.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and programming fundamentals.
• Experience participating in technical design or system design discussions.
• Experience working on Ads Safety, Trust & Safety, Advertising, Abuse Prevention, Fraud Detection, Risk, or Policy Enforcement systems.
• Familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or ML-powered systems.
• Experience building high-scale backend services or distributed data pipelines.
• Strong technical projects demonstrating software development ability.
• Open-source contributions or publicly available technical projects.
• Experience with advertiser platforms or large-scale consumer technology platforms.
