Position : Data Center Division Manager
Location : Greater New Orleans, LA (Hybrid)
Salary Pay : $100K $120K + Bonus
Position Overview:
Client is expanding into the data center and mission-critical construction market and is seeking a hands-on Data Center Division Manager to build and lead this new business line.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in low-voltage/ICT construction, structured cabling, fiber, communications infrastructure, and data center deployments, along with established relationships with national electrical/ICT contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships and secure data center/mission-critical construction opportunities.
- Manage initial projects, including manpower, schedules, RFIs, change orders, billing, and closeout.
- Lead crews of 10 30+ technicians and oversee field execution.
- Develop pricing, labor rates, and subcontracting strategies.
- Establish data center installation, QA/QC, testing, and documentation standards.
- Mentor technicians in high-density fiber, MPO/MTP, and data hall installation.
- Support vendor registrations, pre-qualifications, and contractor partnerships.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of low-voltage/ICT construction experience.
- 3+ years of data center or mission-critical construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber backbone, pathways/containment, testing, and certification.
- Experience with TIA-942/TIA-606 standards.
- Established relationships with electrical, ICT, or mission-critical contractors.
- Experience managing construction crews and schedule-driven projects.
- Experience with pricing, labor rates, subcontract terms, and project financials.
- OSHA 30 or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Ability to travel throughout Louisiana/Gulf Coast project sites.
Preferred:
- Hyperscale experience with AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Oracle, or major colocation providers.
- BICSI RCDD/DCDC.
- Panduit, CommScope, Belden, or Corning experience.
- Avetta/ISNetworld experience.
- Experience building a new division or service line.
- Industrial, utility, or petrochemical construction background.
Important: This role is focused on physical low-voltage/communications infrastructure and data center construction, rather than server or hardware deployment.
