Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RF Test Engineer to develop, implement, and support advanced RF test solutions for electronic assemblies. The engineer will work on RF test infrastructure supporting products operating at frequencies up to 50 GHz, with a strong focus on production testing, design verification, test automation, and hardware/software integration.
This position will support customers across Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, Smart Energy, and Healthcare markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement RF test solutions for production and design verification.
Create test strategies, test plans, test procedures, and test development proposals.
Review product specifications and translate requirements into effective RF test solutions.
Develop and integrate RF test hardware and software.
Support RF test platforms operating from low frequencies through 50 GHz.
Debug tester, hardware, software, and integration issues using structured troubleshooting and failure-analysis techniques.
Develop automated test solutions using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar technologies.
Support RF test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, and system integration.
Perform system qualification, validation, installation, and production deployment.
Analyze test results and quality data to identify failures and improve test coverage.
Work closely with electrical, firmware, software, manufacturing, quality, and design engineering teams.
Provide technical guidance to engineering and support teams.
Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to understand test requirements and resolve technical issues.
Support deployment of test solutions across multiple sites.
Participate in continuous improvement, corrective action, and test-process optimization.
Travel approximately 25–50% as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
7–10 years of relevant engineering/test experience preferred.
Strong experience in RF testing, RF validation, RF verification, or RF test development.
Experience developing or supporting production test solutions.
Experience with RF test equipment and instrumentation.
Experience with high-frequency RF testing; experience approaching or exceeding 6 GHz is highly desirable.
Experience with Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or other test automation technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and failure-analysis skills.
Experience integrating hardware and software test systems.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and develop appropriate test strategies.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RF testing up to 50 GHz.
Aerospace & Defense test experience.
RF electronic assembly or manufacturing test experience.
Experience with RF test fixtures and automated test equipment.
Experience with NI LabVIEW / TestStand.
Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE).
Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA, 8D, and corrective-action methodologies.
Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.
Experience working with global engineering or manufacturing teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, RF Engineering, or related technical field.
