Civil Litigation Associate or Partner

About the Role

Join a trial-focused law firm as a civil litigation attorney, with consideration for candidates at the associate or partner level. You will handle matters from inception through trial and build substantial courtroom experience.

What You'll Do

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial assessment through trial.

• Draft discovery requests and responses, and prepare substantive motions.

• Take and defend depositions.

• Participate in trials as first or second chair.

• Work directly with clients, insurance carriers, and claims handlers.

What We're Looking For

• At least 7 years of post-bar experience in civil litigation or transferable courtroom practice.

• Admission to the New York State Bar and experience practicing in New York.

• Insurance defense litigation experience, including motion practice and depositions.

• Strong legal writing skills and a writing sample.

• A demonstrated interest in trial work and readiness to take an active courtroom role.

• Ability to meet a 2,000-hour annual billable requirement.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

On-site, five days per week, in Fishkill, New York. Candidates should be able to commute to the office.
