Job Description

1. Digital Commerce Delivery & Execution
Lead the end-to-end execution of complex eCommerce software engineering initiatives, spanning web/mobile digital experiences, headless storefronts, payment gateways, promotion engines, and fulfillment integrations. Partner with Product Managers to translate business capabilities into technical requirements, comprehensive project plans, epics, and sprint backlogs. Manage critical path schedules, budget allocations, resource dependencies, and scope tradeoffs across concurrent digital initiatives.

Drive peak readiness operations, freeze schedules, and performance-load test governance ahead of high-volume seasonal retail peaks (e.g., Q4 holiday peaks, major promotional sales events).
2. Cross-Functional Omnichannel Orchestration
Drive technical alignment across distributed engineering teams, including front-end digital UI, core backend microservices, enterprise integrations (APIs/middleware), QA, and DevOps/Cloud infrastructure.

Coordinate cross-platform integrations linking the eCommerce platform with back-office retail systems, such as Order Management (OMS), Point of Sale (POS), Inventory &
Warehouse Management (WMS), and enterprise loyalty platforms. Manage vendor delivery milestones and third-party integrations (e.g., payment service providers, fraud prevention tools, search/merchandising platforms, and CDNs).
3. Agile Leadership & Governance
Facilitate Scrum/Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, release train syncs).

Track and communicate delivery metrics, sprint velocity, burn-down charts, risks, and blockers using tools like Jira and Confluence. Maintain rigorous Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) logs; proactively mitigate technical bottlenecks before they impact release milestones. Deliver concise executive-level status readouts, steering committee decks, and milestone updates to technology and business leadership.

Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years of Technical Project Management or Agile Program Management experience driving software development programs, with at least 3 4 years directly within a large-scale retail eCommerce or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.

Retail Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of multi-category retail commerce flows: product catalog management, pricing/promotions engines, digital cart/checkout, payment tokenization, omnichannel fulfillment (BOPIS, Curbside, Ship-to-Store, Ship-from-
Store), and returns.

Technical Breadth: Strong technical acumen with the ability to comfortably interact with system architects and engineers. Familiarity with modern microservices architecture,
REST/GraphQL APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), and enterprise eCommerce engines (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento, commercetools, or custom MACH stacks).

Agile Governance: Expert proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and enterprise portfolio management tools. Proven experience managing dual-track Agile and hybrid delivery models across geographically distributed teams.

Onsite Collaboration: Must be able to work onsite at the Charlotte, NC office at least 3 days per week.

Work Authorization: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship (Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe Agilist.
Direct experience with enterprise Order Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan
Associates, Sterling OMS, or Fluent Commerce).
Exposure to cloud data platforms, event streaming (Kafka), or Customer Data Platforms
(CDPs) operating within a modern retail marketing technology stack.
Experience managing contract-to-hire delivery pipelines or collaborating with onshore/offshore development models.
