Position Overview
A well-established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys within its Litigation practice.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented legal professional who can manage multiple priorities, anticipate attorney needs, and provide high-level administrative support in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys.
Prepare, revise, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other materials.
Assist with electronic filings in state and federal courts.
Maintain attorney calendars and track court dates, filing deadlines, meetings, and other critical dates.
Coordinate depositions, hearings, trials, client meetings, and conference calls.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
Assist with opening new matters, conflict checks, and engagement documentation.
Prepare expense reports, process invoices, and assist with monthly billing.
Coordinate attorney travel and prepare itineraries.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and outside parties.
Provide administrative backup and support to other attorneys and practice groups as needed.
5+ years of legal administrative assistant experience, preferably supporting litigation attorneys.
Knowledge of state and federal court procedures and electronic filing systems.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with document management, time-entry, and billing systems.
Excellent proofreading, grammar, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
