Role: Cloud Network & Security Engineer

Work location: Hybrid, onsite at least 3 days per week in Midtown, Atlanta, GA.

Duration: Full time (direct hire) permanent position.  

Focus Areas:
Azure/Google Cloud Platform networking, routing, NAT, DNS, Application Gateway, AKS, Zscaler, XDR/NDR, firewall validation, and security remediation.

Key Work Areas

• Azure Application Gateway v1 to v2 migration
• Zscaler rollout, onboarding, and remediation
• Cisco XDR/NDR deployment and operational support
• Azure IP renumbering initiatives
• AKS/Kubernetes network migration and optimization
• Firewall, NAT, DNS, routing, peering, and public IP validation
• Multi-cloud network and security support across Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS
• Splunk and DLP traffic-path validation
• Payment platform and customer connectivity validation
• Development of runbooks, implementation plans, rollback plans, and operational documentation

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned network and security remediation activities.
• Validate cloud networking changes before, during, and after implementation.
• Troubleshoot production network and connectivity issues across cloud environments.
• Review and validate firewall policies, NAT gateways, routing tables, DNS configurations, load balancers, and network peering.
• Support cloud migration, deployment, and cutover activities.
• Prepare and review change requests, implementation procedures, rollback plans, and risk assessments.
• Identify dependencies, operational risks, and process gaps, and document mitigation strategies.
• Support incident investigations, post-incident reviews, and service restoration efforts.
• Improve network visibility, monitoring, operational readiness, and runbook quality.
• Provide regular status updates, including progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure networking services.
• Good understanding of Google Cloud Platform and AWS networking concepts and architectures.
• Experience with firewalls, routing, NAT, DNS, load balancers, SSL/TLS certificates, and network security controls.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking, preferably AKS and/or GKE.
• Experience with Zscaler or comparable cloud security and proxy solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for production network and connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow change, incident, and problem management processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco XDR and/or NDR solutions.
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Datadog, or Grafana.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Experience supporting payments, PCI-regulated environments, retail, hospitality, or restaurant technology platforms.
• Experience leading or supporting large-scale migrations, IP renumbering projects, network transformations, or cloud security remediation initiatives.
