Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will support the IT intake team by managing incoming work requests from initial engagement through requirements clarification and transition to development teams. Acting as a key liaison between technology and business stakeholders, the ideal candidate will lead requirements gathering, analyze existing capabilities, and play a pivotal role in the overall success of initiatives throughout the project lifecycle within an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with IT and Business stakeholders to define and deliver solutions that meet business objectives
  • Support the IT intake team by managing incoming work requests from initial engagement through requirements clarification and transition to development teams
  • Act as a key liaison between technology teams and internal customers, ensuring business needs, priorities, and expectations are clearly understood
  • Lead initial requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement, including eliciting, documenting, analyzing, validating, and managing requirements
  • Manage incoming work through the intake process, ensuring requests are appropriately assessed, prioritized, documented, and routed to the appropriate technology teams
  • Support forecasting and demand planning by tracking incoming requests, anticipated work, priorities, capacity, and delivery timelines
  • Serve as the ultimate facilitator between Business and IT in understanding business needs and play a key role in the overall management and success of initiatives through the project lifecycle
  • Analyze existing capabilities, identify gaps and opportunities, and help translate business needs into actionable technical requirements
  • Communicate with Developers to ensure acceptance criteria and user stories are clearly understood and appropriately implemented
  • Partner with Testers to ensure test plans and scripts adequately address documented business requirements
  • Facilitate team routines such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, product demos, Feature/Story grooming, and other Agile ceremonies as needed
  • Fulfill Scrum Master responsibilities and facilitate Scrum ceremonies based on changing business and delivery demands

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent four-year experience in a related field
  • 5-7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, working closely with business partners to elicit requirements, document process flows, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and participate in technical solution definition
  • 2-3 years of technical experience and/or Computer Science degree, with the ability to read and understand BAU code and existing application functionality
  • Experience supporting IT intake, demand management, work prioritization, forecasting, or similar technology intake processes
  • Experience managing incoming work requests from initial business engagement through requirements definition and transition to development teams
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies and Agile delivery practices
  • Working experience with JIRA and other Agile/project management tools
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Previous success working in a dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple requests and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and proactively manage competing priorities
  • Experience with client-facing applications

Desired skills:
  • Experience working with project or intake management tools
  • Technical understanding of enterprise applications, software development lifecycles, integrations, and modern technology environments
  • Prior banking or financial services experience

Pay range: $42.09 - $50.09 per hour
