Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly motivated Governance Analyst to support and strengthen enterprise governance initiatives across Data Governance, Information Governance, and AI Governance programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, enjoys building governance frameworks from the ground up, and can independently transform business needs into practical governance processes, documentation, and operational tools.
- The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with business leaders, IT, privacy, security, compliance, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and improve governance capabilities across programs at various stages of maturity
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve governance processes, policies, workflows, and operating procedures across Data, Information, and AI Governance initiatives.
- Develop governance documentation including standards, procedures, playbooks, process maps, templates, and user guides.
- Translate business, regulatory, and governance requirements into scalable frameworks and practical operational processes.
- Collaborate with business, IT, privacy, security, legal, compliance, and executive stakeholders to drive governance adoption.
- Identify governance gaps, recommend improvements, and independently implement solutions with minimal supervision.
- Facilitate governance meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
- Develop communication materials and training resources to support governance awareness and adoption.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend governance best practices.
- Support governance metrics, reporting, process maturity assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while supporting multiple governance programs simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
5-8 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Business Process Analysis
Governance
Compliance
IT Business Analysis
Risk Management
Process Improvement
Experience creating governance documentation, policies, standards, workflows, and operating procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into structured governance processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
