About the Role
Our client, a leading national retailer, is seeking a IT Hardware Inventory Management Specialist to support hardware fulfillment and inventory operations for its corporate workforce. This role supports the deployment, recovery, configuration, tracking, and repair of technology hardware across multiple platforms, including Windows and macOS devices.
This is an on-site position based primarily in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with occasional work required at a secondary location in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to adapt to changing priorities within a collaborative environment.

Job Description
As a IT Hardware Inventory Management Specialist, you will support day-to-day hardware fulfillment and inventory operations for our client's corporate users. You will be responsible for accurately stocking, picking, preparing, tracking, configuring, and shipping technology equipment while maintaining detailed inventory records.
You may also assist directly with corporate users, making strong written and verbal communication skills important. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and an interest in learning about the different hardware platforms and devices supported by the team.
Responsibilities include:
  • Fulfill hardware deployment and recovery requests for corporate users.
  • Pick, prepare, track, and ship computer hardware and related equipment.
  • Stock hardware and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Perform inventory tracking, reconciliation, and general inventory management.
  • Configure hardware and apply required firmware.
  • Support break/fix operations for supported hardware.
  • Move pallets and assist with the physical movement and organization of inventory.
  • Follow established processes accurately and consistently.
  • Communicate professionally with internal users and business partners.
  • Build positive working relationships with users and team members.
  • Work independently with limited supervision while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities based on daily operational needs.
An example of how time may be allocated includes:
  • 60%: Hardware fulfillment, including picking and shipping equipment
  • 15%: Inventory tracking and reconciliation
  • 15%: Hardware configuration and firmware application
  • 10%: Break/fix operations

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds and perform the physical functions associated with warehouse and inventory operations.
  • Ability to move pallets and hardware inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to accurately follow and execute established processes.
  • Experience with or ability to learn inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in situations where processes, priorities, or information may be ambiguous.
  • Strong interpersonal and business relationship-building skills.
  • Positive, professional, and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to work on-site primarily in Minneapolis, MN, with availability to work at a secondary location in Brooklyn Park, MN, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MacBook Air hardware certification.
  • MacBook Pro 13-inch hardware certification.
  • MacBook Pro 14-inch, 15-inch, or 16-inch hardware certification.
  • Dell Client Foundations Certification.
  • Previous experience with hardware fulfillment, IT asset management, inventory management, or break/fix operations.
  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS hardware environments.
