Job Description

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks an Engineering Operations Technician to support AWS data centers powering global cloud services. In this role, you will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain critical infrastructure, including servers, networking, power, and cooling systems. You'll perform preventative maintenance, resolve incidents, and support hardware installs in a 24/7 environment. Working with innovative, customer-obsessed teams, you'll apply data-driven processes, uphold strict safety and security standards, and continuously improve reliability for millions of AWS customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain AWS data center infrastructure and mechanical/electrical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on servers, networking, and facility equipment
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and outages, restoring service quickly and safely
  • Collaborate with Infra
  • Ops and DCEO teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency
  • Document procedures, maintenance activities, and root-cause analysis for recurring issues
  • Support hardware installations, decommissions, and capacity expansions
  • Follow strict safety, security, and compliance procedures within the data center
  • Participate in on-call rotations and shift work to support 24/7 operations
