QA Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers.
• Define and implement overall QA strategy, test plans, and testing methodologies.
• Review business and technical requirements and identify test scenarios and risks.
• Lead functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Drive test automation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve automation coverage.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project managers to resolve quality issues.
• Manage defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Track QA metrics, test progress, defect trends, and overall product quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and quality gaps and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Ensure testing processes follow organizational quality standards and best practices.
• Support release planning, deployment validation, and production verification.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing QA teams.
• Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with defect management and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar DevOps tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
