Job Description

Role Summary
This position involves managing land and rights of way tasks related to inquiries and requests from third parties, such as landowners, developers, and government agencies. The role requires attention to detail, processing requests accurately, and ensuring compliance with easement terms and obligations. The position offers an opportunity for growth, with a potential to transition into a permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from third parties regarding encroachments on pipeline assets.
  • Review and interpret easement agreements, engineering drawings, and alignment sheets.
  • Utilize databases and GIS tools, such as ArcGIS and Google Earth, to assess land and right of way issues.
  • Coordinate with landowners, developers, and government agencies to resolve rights of way concerns.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken.
  • Work under supervision from the Land Manager or designated supervisor.
  • Process requests efficiently while adhering to company standards and legal requirements.
  • Assist in preparing legal documents, correspondence, and reports related to rights of way.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing land and rights of way projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in land management, rights of way, real estate, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of easement terms and obligations.
  • Experience working with landowners, engineers, developers, and government agencies.
  • Proficiency with GIS tools, preferably ArcGIS, and familiarity with Google Earth.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • High school diploma or GED required; AA, BA, or BS degree preferred, especially in business administration, law, communications, or public relations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 - $42.00 hourly
