Our client, a major energy company, is expanding our client's team and seeking a skilled Power Trader to focus on prompt and intraday power markets. This is a permanent opportunity based in London, offering direct exposure to UK and European power trading, full P&L ownership, and a central role in supporting the energy transition. You will join a high-performing trading environment where your decisions have immediate commercial impact and where strong performers can rapidly grow their responsibilities.

Key Focus Areas

• Prompt/Intraday Power Trading: Execute and manage short-term power trades, optimising positions in fast-moving markets.
• UK & European Markets: Trade across the UK and continental European power markets, leveraging regional dynamics and cross-border opportunities.
• P&L Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for trading strategies and results, driving profitable growth and risk-aware performance.
• Energy Transition Exposure: Engage with evolving power market structures, renewables integration, and flexibility products as part of the energy transition.

Relevant Skills

• Power Trading: Experience trading power products with a focus on short-term markets and dynamic pricing.
