Job Description

About WeBuyVintage

WeBuyVintage is one of the UK’s largest buyers of jewellery, antiques and collectibles. We run more roadshows than any other UK company - over 250 valuation events every month - bringing trusted experts face-to-face with customers across the country.

In three years, we’ve grown from a pub-table idea into an eight-figure business, with a headcount thats grown from 30-120 in the last 2 years, we’re on a mission to make WeBuyVintage a brand everyone recognises.

The Role:

In partnership with eBay, we're launching our own eBay Live stores this November and we're looking for the person who will be the face and voice of them.

As our eBay Live Host / Seller, you'll present at least 12-hours of live shows a week from our Cambridge studio, selling watches, jewellery and collectibles to buyers across the UK through live auctions. You'll own each show from start to finish: building the running order, presenting on camera and being the face of our growing eBay brand to our customers.

This is a brand-new channel for us, so you'll help shape it from day one. You'll work alongside our Logistics Lead, Marketplace Listings Supervisor and Postage Logistics Assistant, who’ll keep the stock moving to and from our live selling studio.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

On camera

  • Host at least 12 hours a week of live shows on eBay Live (typically 1.5-hour shows, that might include evenings and weekends)

  • Show every item honestly, build excitement and answer buyer questions in real time, with the aim of building a loyal, returning audience

Before the show

  • Work with our warehouse sorting teams to select stock for each show

  • Price lots and set starting bids within agreed guidelines

  • Photograph items and load each show's running order onto eBay Live

  • Work with our Marketplace Listings Supervisor to promote our shows across eBay

After the show

  • Check that every sale is matched to a stock ID and handed over for dispatch the same day

  • Report weekly on hours streamed, viewers, items sold per hour, average selling price and sell-through

  • Work with our Marketplace Listings Supervisor to identify and test new formats, categories and programming moments

Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

  • Confident, natural and engaging on camera, with the energy to carry a 1.5 -hour live show

  • A genuine interest in watches, jewellery or collectibles, and a willingness to learn fast

  • Honest and trustworthy: our buyers need to believe every word you say about an item

  • Comfortable selling: you can create urgency without being pushy

  • Happy to work evenings and one weekend day as part of a 4-day week

  • Able to commute to our Leeds studio

  • Would be useful to have Experience in retail, auctions, pawnbroking, antiques or jewellery sales that give a basic knowledge of the industry and products.

  • Basic photography skills

No live selling experience? That's fine. If you're a natural on camera and love the products, we'll train you. Attitude matters more than experience.

What You’ll Get:

  • 4-day working week (Monday to Saturday)

  • A fully equipped studio - cameras, lighting, audio and display kit provided

  • Training on our stock, from watch movements to hallmarks, from our expert buyers

  • Access to Bright Exchange - enjoy thousands of exclusive employee discounts and perks

  • Employee Assistance Programme - confidential, 24/7 support for you and your immediate family, covering work, personal, and home life matters

  • On-demand professional development - access to BrightHR’s online learning platform to build new skills and support your career progression

  • Competitive pay

  • Be part of a rapidly growing, friendly UK brand
