Network Operations Specialist (ESNO) with Security Clearance

Position Title : Network Operations Specialist (ESNO) Location : Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Clearance required : Secret minimum (Tier 3 / T3R); Top Secret / SCI eligible (Tier 5 / T5R) required to administer classified systems or networks or for critical- or special-sensitive duties.

Scope of Work: Monitors and manages day-to-day operations of all ATEC networks (NIPRNET, SIPRNET, DREN, SDREN, and test enclaves), sustaining 99.9% network availability during core hours and performing proactive fault detection and network engineering. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Proactively monitor network operations and deploy changes under ATEC change control and configuration management policy
• Manage and troubleshoot hubs, switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, long-haul circuits, VPN, and intranet and internet services
• Detect and resolve at least 80% of network component failures before a user-reported ticket, sustaining 99.9% availability
• Configure and manage Software Defined Access, DNA, Identity Services Engine, TCP/IP, VLANs, VRFs, and automation tools
• Support indoor and outdoor plant infrastructure, including work in manholes, bucket trucks, and with telephone poles
• Develop engineering solution packages for capacity upgrades and new technology deployments Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software
• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret / SCI eligibility (Tier 5 / T5R) required for administering classified networks
• DoD 8140 / 8570.01-M baseline certification appropriate to the assigned work role and level, held prior to performance, with the required computing environment (CE) certification obtained within six (6) months of appointment.
