Job Description

Job Summary
The MRB Engineer evaluates non-conforming aircraft hardware and develops repair, rework, use-as-is, or scrap dispositions while ensuring airworthiness, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production teams to resolve technical issues and support production schedules.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and disposition non-conforming aircraft structures, systems, and components.
  • Develop and approve repair, rework, and deviation solutions.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and production documentation.
  • Conduct technical assessments and risk evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Support production and resolve shop-floor technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100, and certification requirements.
  • Support MRB audits and customer requirements.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of aerospace engineering, MRB, MRE, Liaison Engineering, or manufacturing support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, systems, manufacturing, and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with non-conformance disposition, repairs, concessions, or deviations.
  • Strong engineering judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Boeing commercial aircraft experience, especially 737, 747, 767, 777/777X, or 787.
  • Metallic and composite aircraft structures experience.
  • Experience with CATIA V5, Teamcenter, ENOVIA, and SAP.
  • MRB/delegated engineering approval authority experience.
  • Aircraft assembly line/shop-floor experience.
