Role: SAP PTM/QM Functional Consultant
Location: Remote with 50% travel - expenses paid
Duration: 6 - 12 months contract

 
Job Description:
We are looking for a senior SAP functional consultant with strong experience in manufacturing, production planning, and quality management to support an ongoing SAP environment.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across business and technical teams, analyzing existing processes, translating business needs into SAP solutions, and providing hands-on functional support.

What You’ll Be Working On
•    Support SAP manufacturing and production planning activities from planning through production execution.
•    Work with business users to understand operational challenges, gather requirements, and recommend SAP-based solutions.
•    Analyze and document current and future-state business processes.
•    Configure and support SAP functionality related to Production Planning and Quality Management.
•    Work with processes involving MRP, production orders, planned orders, BOMs, routings, work centers, capacity planning, and quality inspections.
•    Assist with integration points between PP/QM and areas such as MM, PM, FI/CO, warehouse/logistics, and document management.
•    Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with technical teams when development or integration changes are required.
•    Participate in SAP enhancements, process improvements, and system optimization initiatives.
•    Prepare functional specifications and work closely with developers on interfaces, reports, enhancements, and other technical requirements.
•    Develop and execute test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
•    Track issues through resolution and validate fixes before deployment.
•    Provide support during releases, deployments, go-live activities, and post-production stabilization.
•    Create process documentation, operating procedures, user guides, and training materials.
•    Conduct knowledge-transfer and training sessions for business users.
•    Assist with data validation and master-data-related activities associated with manufacturing processes.
•    Work with distributed teams across different business functions and locations.

 
We’re Looking For
•    10+ years of overall SAP functional experience.
•    Strong background in SAP manufacturing and production processes.
•    Significant hands-on PP and QM experience.
•    Experience supporting SAP systems in production environments.
•    Ability to independently analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
•    Experience creating functional specifications, test scripts, process documentation, and training material.
•    Experience working with developers and integration teams.
•    Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
•    Good communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.

 
Nice to Have
•    Experience in industrial, discrete, or equipment manufacturing.
•    Exposure to Engineer-to-Order (ETO) processes.
•    Experience with SAP EWM/WM.
•    Knowledge of SAP CO-PA and manufacturing-related reporting.
•    Experience with SAP Fiori applications.
•    Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
•    Experience with global or multi-location SAP implementations and rollouts.
