HR Administrator (Maternity Cover)
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE (depending on experience)
- Contract: Part-time, 9 to 12-months Fixed-Term Maternity Cover
- Hours: 9:00-15:30, 18 hours per week (ideally Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
- Location: this is an office based role, with offices in North London

With people and culture at the heart of its success, the organisation is seeking an experienced and organised HR Administrator to support the delivery of an effective and employee-centred HR service.

The Role
Reporting to the Director of People, the HR Administrator will support the full employee lifecycle, helping to ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and compliantly.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, playing an important part in creating a positive employee experience from recruitment and onboarding through to employee wellbeing and offboarding.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is looking to build on existing HR administration experience within a supportive and values-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment administration, interview scheduling and candidate communications.
- Support onboarding processes, including contracts, documentation and pre-employment checks.
- Monitor and administer probation review processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Process contractual changes, promotions and leaver administration.
- Support payroll administration and liaise with payroll providers as required.
- Track sickness absence, annual leave and family leave records.
- Coordinate DBS checks and safer recruitment processes.
- Support employee wellbeing initiatives and benefits administration.
- Assist with staff engagement activities and employee communications.
- Produce HR reports and maintain accurate people data.
- Ensure HR processes remain compliant with organisational policies and employment legislation.
About You
We're looking for a proactive and organised HR professional who enjoys building positive relationships and delivering high-quality administrative support.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in an HR Administration or HR Assistant role.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activity.
- Experience maintaining employee records and HR systems.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience handling confidential information professionally and discreetly.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR databases.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
