C++ Developer

Job Title: Senior C++ Developer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Contract

Required Experience:

• 5–10 years of hands-on C++ development experience.
• Strong expertise in C++11/14/17, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), STL, multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
• Experience with Linux/Unix development environments.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and software optimization skills.
• Knowledge of design patterns, software engineering best practices, and Git.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar.
• Experience using AI for code generation, debugging, refactoring, unit testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• Ability to validate and optimize AI-generated code.
• Strong analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Skills:

• CMake/Makefiles.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• REST APIs and network programming.
• Google Test or similar unit testing frameworks.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance C++ applications.
• Debug, optimize, and enhance application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
