The opportunity:

We're working with a well-established Marine R&amp;D/ Manufacturing company in Hampshire who are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the team. We're looking for someone demonstrable electrical design experience and strong fault-finding skills, ideally from a Marine background. You will have: Degree or Master's in Electrical Engineering (or related field)<br />Electrical circuit design - AC/DC<br />Can create and interpret schematics, technical drawings, control panel and circuit diagrams<br />Strong fault-finding - logical, methodical approach<br />Experience with electric motors, switching circuits, and motor controllers<br />EPLAN and AutoCAD for design/documentation<br />Good understanding of control system principles<br />Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to self-manage workload<br />Willing to travel for on-site commissioning<br />Desired but not essential: In-depth knowledge of marine electrical standards<br />Marine CANbus systems - NMEA2000 and ruggedised sensors<br />Appreciation of PLC programming, particularly Siemens<br />CodeSys 3.5 experience<br />Knowledge of hydraulic systems<br />Understanding of marine product certification requirements<br />SIL Levels and design risk assessments<br />Practical marine experience (personal boating or professional)
