Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager
Location: Merrifield, VA or Pensacola, FL (Remote, with occasional onsite requirements.)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master who thrives in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment. This individual will be responsible for driving complex initiatives from concept through delivery by gaining a deep understanding of project scope, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring successful execution. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive, and accountable, with the ability to identify risks, remove obstacles, and guide teams toward the right outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects across cross-functional teams, developing clear project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
• Lead projects within an Agile delivery environment, supporting PI planning and sprint execution.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage work items, track progress, and monitor delivery metrics.
• Drive project execution by coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring accountability.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve cross-organizational issues that may impede project success.
• Serve as the central coordination point between project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Analyze project challenges, dependencies, and constraints to determine the most effective path forward.
• Anticipate risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and guide team members to support effective project execution.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience managing complex projects or programs (at least 5 years in an agile environment and 5 years in traditional waterfall delivery).
• At least 10 years' experience working in a large enterprise (more than 5,000 employees) or the Federal Government.
• Highly experienced in leading and driving executives to reach project objectives.
• Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management and work tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP and CSM/SAFe Scrum Masters certifications.
• Experience managing complex multi-team initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
