Apigee SRE Engineer Platform SME

We are seeking an experienced Apigee SRE Engineer Platform SME to manage, support, and optimize Apigee API platforms on Google Cloud Platform. The candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of the API ecosystem

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and support Apigee Edge Apigee X Hybrid deployments.

- Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

- Implement SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, alerting, and incident response.

- Automate deployments using CICD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

- Work closely with development, cloud, and DevOps teams.

- Optimize API proxy performance and scalability.

- Ensure security policies (OAuth, JWT, mTLS) are applied correctly.

- Handle upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience with Apigee (EdgeXHybrid).

- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

- Knowledge of API management and API lifecycle.

- Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.

- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
