Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Buyer to join our client''s Procurement team. This role is ideal for a procurement professional with a strong background in IT purchasing who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing the procurement lifecycle for a wide range of technology products and services.
The Senior IT Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing IT hardware, software, and related services while partnering with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and ensure timely delivery of critical technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for IT-related purchases, including hardware, software, licensing, maintenance, and professional services.
- Collaborate with internal business units and IT teams to understand purchasing requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and recommend supplier selections.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and strategic suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contracts, and purchasing procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, quality, and service.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier consolidation.
- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and procurement records.
- Support contract renewals, software licensing, and technology lifecycle management.
Required Qualifications
- 5 + years of experience in IT procurement or strategic sourcing.
- Strong experience purchasing IT hardware, software, cloud solutions, licensing, and technology-related services.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing methodologies, and vendor management.
- Experience working with enterprise procurement and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise IT organizations.
- Familiarity with software licensing models and technology vendor ecosystems.
- Professional procurement certifications (such as CPSM or CPPB) are a plus.
Work Arrangement
- This is a one-year contract position.
- The role requires working onsite at the client''s facility.
