VP, Senior Credit Analyst

The Senior Vice President, Senior Commercial Credit Analyst underwrites complex commercial loans, including CRE, C&I, leveraged finance, and tax credit deals. The role focuses on detailed cash flow, collateral, and borrowing base analysis; ongoing review of client financials; and clear, timely credit recommendations. This position partners closely with relationship managers, supports loan structuring and committee presentations, and provides guidance to junior credit staff while maintaining strong client service.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex commercial credit facilities including CRE, C&I, leveraged finance, and tax credit transactions
• Analyze borrower cash flow, projections, collateral, and leverage to assess repayment capacity and risk
• Review ongoing client financials, borrowing base certificates, AR and inventory reports, and covenant compliance
• Support relationship managers in structuring loan terms and preparing credit approval recommendations
• Participate in loan committee meetings, presenting analysis and defending credit conclusions
• Maintain awareness of relevant economic, industry, and market conditions affecting portfolio risk
• Help coach and mentor junior credit staff on underwriting standards and analysis techniques
