Tax Manager

Job DescriptionOur client is a leading provider of secured asset-based wholesaling financing facilities for US based finance companies.

They seek a Tax Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n Direct quarterly and annual tax accounting activities, including current and deferred tax calculations, provision analyses, account reconciliations, and financial reporting support\n Manage income tax reporting schedules, effective tax rate analyses, deferred tax tracking, and documentation for complex tax positions\n Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance processes in coordination with external service providers and advisors\n Review tax filings, supporting workpapers, estimated payments, extensions, and regulatory reporting requirements\n Monitor legislative and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing compliance and assess business impacts\n Support tax planning, entity structuring, transaction analysis, and implementation of tax-efficient strategies\n Coordinate state, local, and international tax matters, including jurisdictional compliance, foreign reporting, and cross-border considerations\n Facilitate tax audits and examinations by managing information requests, documentation, and stakeholder communications\n Analyze technical tax issues, research regulatory guidance, and present recommendations to leadership\n Drive operational effectiveness through process improvements, automation initiatives, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, treasury, and operations teams\n\n\nRequirements\n\n 5-10 years of corporate tax experience\n Financial services industry required\n Combo, public or private\n SALT and ASC740 experience is preferred\n International tax experience is a plus\n Excellent communication skills\n Detail-oriented and highly analytical\n\n\nJobID: 48292
