Senior Project Manager (PMP Certified) - EHR/EMR

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (PMP Certified) with 7–9 years of project management experience and a proven track record leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation projects. The ideal candidate must hold an active PMI PMP certification for at least 5 years, currently reside in Pennsylvania, and have experience managing enterprise IT projects, organizational change management, and cross-functional teams throughout the full project lifecycle.

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will lead the implementation of a large-scale EHR system supporting multiple healthcare programs across the Commonwealth. This role is responsible for driving the project from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with project governance, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of an Enterprise EHR system, including transition to operations and maintenance.

• Develop and manage comprehensive Project Management Plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

• Direct planning, execution, monitoring, testing, implementation, and project governance activities.

• Coordinate cross-functional IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and healthcare program leaders.

• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests using RAID logs and change management processes.

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, executive presentations, and project status reporting.

• Support business process improvements and organizational change management initiatives.

• Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities.

• Ensure compliance with PMO standards, documentation requirements, and project governance.

• Monitor project progress, milestones, deliverables, and budget while driving successful project outcomes.

• Mentor project team members and promote project management best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Active PMI PMP Certification held for a minimum of 5 years (Certification copy required with submission).

• 7–9 years of enterprise IT Project Management experience.

• Proven experience leading Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) implementations.

• Experience transitioning organizations from paper-based charting to EHR systems.

• Strong experience managing large enterprise technology projects across the full SDLC.

• Experience coordinating cross-functional IT teams and vendor relationships.

• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

• Must currently reside in Pennsylvania.

• Ability to work onsite in Harrisburg, PA two days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM).

• Experience supporting public health, health informatics, or health IT initiatives.

• Experience working within government or enterprise PMO environments.
