Java + SRE Engineer

Job Description:

A strong Java engineer with an SRE mindset who can work across development and production environments. The candidate should be comfortable moving between code-level debugging, APIs, observability, Kubernetes/OpenShift, production incidents, RCA, and automation. The candidate should also be comfortable using AI as an engineering accelerator, with strong Java and SRE fundamentals to independently validate solutions and quickly ramp up on unfamiliar technologies.

We are looking for a hands-on Java + SRE Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, production support, observability, and troubleshooting. The candidate should leverage Generative AI and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity, automation, and application reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.

Provide production support, incident management, RCA, and reliability improvements.

Monitor applications using Splunk, Elasticsearch/Kibana, dashboards, and alerts.

Support Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.

Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve application stability.

Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills:

Strong Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices experience.

Hands-on SRE/production support, troubleshooting, RCA, and SLA/SLO knowledge.

Experience with Splunk and observability tools.

Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux, CI/CD, and scripting.

Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI coding assistants.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills.
