Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant / Lead – Data Migration & Carve-Out to support a complex SAP carve-out and data migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP FI/CO, along with working knowledge of PS, MM, and SD and hands-on experience with data migration, reconciliation, and carve-out projects.

The migration will be performed within the existing SAP landscape using custom ABAP programs, conversion logic, and standard/custom BAPIs. No external ETL tools will be used, so strong Advanced Excel and manual data transformation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead manual extraction, mapping, transformation, validation, and loading of historical and open SAP data.

• Perform detailed pre-load and post-load reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy and data integrity.

• Execute and troubleshoot data loads using custom ABAP migration programs and standard/custom BAPIs.

• Work extensively with large datasets using Advanced Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data cleansing, and validation.

• Reconcile and validate data across FI/CO, MM, and SD modules.

• Query and analyze standard SAP ECC tables for data verification and troubleshooting.

• Gather business requirements and feedback related to migration logic and communicate findings to technical teams.

• Provide regular project updates to business stakeholders and support issue resolution throughout the migration.

Required Skills

• SAP FI/CO: Strong hands-on experience with GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and Internal Orders.

• SAP PS/MM/SD: Practical knowledge of WBS, material master data, purchase orders, sales orders, and related business processes.

• Data Migration: Hands-on experience with SAP data extraction, mapping, transformation, loading, and reconciliation.

• Advanced Excel: Strong expertise with formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data cleansing, and large-scale data analysis.

• Technical Knowledge: Ability to understand custom ABAP migration programs, standard/custom BAPIs, and SAP ECC tables.

• Communication: Strong ability to work with business users, gather feedback, explain migration logic, and communicate technical findings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with SAP carve-out, system split, or data split projects.

• Experience manually reconciling logistics and financial data across MM/SD and FI/CO.

• Aviation or Aerospace domain experience strongly preferred.

• Experience working on complex SAP data migration and reconciliation initiatives.
